The World Beyond Low-E: Super-Insulating Windows and Glass

Did you know, 30% of heating and cooling loss occurs through a building's fenestration?
Installing energy efficient windows is a very effective way to prevent energy loss through a building's envelope.

To help provide an understanding of high efficiency windows and doors, Erik Fallik of Serious Windows will discuss new developments in high-efficiency window and glazing systems and identify the elements that maximize energy efficiency.

Learning Objectives
1. Describe the benefits of using super insulating glass and windows.
2. Explain how super insulating glazing systems lower the peak energy demand of buildings.
3. Discuss ways super insulating glass can make a building more affordable short and long term.
4.Identify how super insulating glass can contribute toward net zero sum designs while helping increase architectural freedom.
5. Discuss the low embodied energy impact of fiberglass frame and suspended coated film technology.

Speaker Bio
Erik Fallik, Territory Manager from Serious Windows will present an update on the latest in fenestration. This has been an integral aspect in achieving LEED certification in numerous projects such as the Empire State Building.

Serious Energy, Inc. increases the value of buildings for both owners and occupants with a platform of products and services that combine real-time, connected building analytics and control with material science innovations.
