Come learn about the U.S. EPA’s new ENERGY STAR® for Multifamily High Rise Program; the newest member of the ENERGY STAR family of programs. The ENERGY STAR Multifamily High Rise Program will add ENERGY STAR brand recognition to your project, while dovetailing neatly into the LEED for Homes rating system.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the U.S. EPA’s ENERGY STAR® for Multifamily High Rise program and its nexus with LEED rating systems;
  • Distinguish between an ENERGY STAR for New Homes project and a ENERGY STAR for Multifamily High Rise project;
  • Learn about the multifamily sector on a national and regional level.

Attendees will participate via WebEx. A strong internet connection and phone line is recommended.

Presenter:

Kate Gregory is ENERGY STAR Specialist for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 8, focusing on energy efficiency in the built environment. Ms. Gregory has also served as the Region’s Environmental Management System Coordinator, focusing on mitigating the Region 8 headquarters’ operational impacts on the natural environment. As a part of this work, Ms. Gregory co-lead the effort to analyze the Region 8 Headquarters facility waste stream, as well as successfully launch the Region 8, EPA composting program. Ms. Gregory holds a Masters in Global Finance, Trade and Economic Integration from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies.
