Interested in furthering your understanding of the urban heat island effect and ways to reduce it?  This webinar is the first in our Strategies for Success in LEED series, designed to teach individuals about strategies useful in meeting LEED requirements in various credit categories.

Learning Objectives:
•Understand the importance of the urban heat island (UHI) effect.

•Identify the LEED requirements related to reducing the UHI effect.

•Explore strategies useful in meeting LEED requirements related to urban heat.

•Compare regional differences in strategies used to meet LEED requirements and mitigate UHI effects.

This session is approved for 1.5 hours of LEED Specific (BD+C and O+M) GBCI hours as well as 1.5 AIA/CES LU/HSW/SD hours.
