BD+C 302: Successful Implementation Beyond Baseline Performance: 10 Energy Efficiency Measures for Load Reduction

This session will explore the first step for reducing energy consumption of a building: reducing energy loads. Presenters will highlight energy simulation as a design tool and key to successfully implementing EA Credit 1.

Participants must be present to view the webinar and receive credit for attendance.

Drinks and snacks will be sponsored by GH Phipps

Learning Objectives

-Recognize energy load reduction techniques that support energy efficient building design and help earn credits under LEED-NC : EA Credit 1.
-Assess opportunities for integrating energy modeling at initial design stages, decision making, and planning process.
-Evaluate the pros and cons of energy modeling as a design tool for complying with LEED criteria.
-Discuss cost impact of load reduction measures by evaluating case-specific examples.
