Join us for a tour of the CSDB Gottlieb building! The Gottlieb Building serves as the deaf school at the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind. This building is also a Historically Registered building and received a major renovation under the LEED for Schools criteria.
This tour has exciting information for local architects, engineers, planners, educators, school administrators, students, facilities personnel, and anyone else interested in the strategies used to attempt LEED Gold! Presenters will go over the strategies used and the lessons learned during the renovation.
Learning Objectives
- Gain familiarity with the LEED Scorecard and the various points under the LEED for Schools criteria. - Learn the strategies for achieving various points that were attempted and achieved at the Gottlieb Building. - Discuss lessons learned on points that were attempted, but not achieved. - Understand how the goals of LEED for Schools were related to the goals of teaching deaf students.
